WINE, SCRAMBLED EGGS & THE CITY!!!!!

Yeap, but not any scrambled eggs, nope, these eggs were my kind of scrambled… Some olive oil, some baby bella mushrooms, some grape tomatoes, crushed red pepper, sea salt, some herbes de provence, some parmesan sprinkled over it and a nice cabernet to celebrate. And what am I celebrating, well, my first job interview in a “long time”. I have been unemployed for quite some time now and it is getting “depressing”. I have send tons of resumes out there and nothing came around, and all of the sudden today I had an interview. I have another one on Monday and another on Wednesday (because of the proximity and probably the money, this one is the most appealing). Although the one on Monday sounds very promising, we’ll have to see.

As I was driving today I couldn’t ignore how beautiful downtown Miami is. It has changed so much since I got here 15 years ago. Today was one of those breathtaking South Florida days. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the skyline of the city was out of a painter’s palate, even better because it was so real. I started the New Year in an area that I love. Yes, I moved to an urban neighborhood. A place where people walk, there are cafés open 24 hours. It is the closest I’ll get to living in a big city (at least for now).

A place is what we make of it. In reality, Miami, my Miami, the one that I live in, is not so bad. For now this is my home, although my dreams are up north, Miami has welcome me without expecting a thing.
